On September 21st, Heydrich informed his senior underlings that all Jews and Gypsies would be deported from Germany to the east of Poland. On the outbreak of war, Heydrich banned Gypsies from plying their itinerant trades near Germany's western borders. By the end of 1941, the Polish Catholic Church was effectivly outlawed in Wartheland (Western part of poland that was annexed by Third Reich in October 1939). In the Germanization programme in Poland, Heydrich encouraged the radical attack on the Catholic Church-the institution that more than any other had sustained the Polish national identity over the centuries. On Heydrich & Himmler created the Reich Security Head office- Reichssicherheitshauptamt, to pull all the various parts of the police and SS together under a single, centralized directorate.
